DISCUSSION FORUM ON ELECTRONIC RECORDS

 

AWC and the Washington Municipal Clerks Association are co-sponsoring a
half-day discussion forum on public records, specifically electronic
records management.  This event is an opportunity to learn the "ins and
outs" of state law regarding electronic records, to hear from the
Washington State Archives office about their new WAC rules for using the
Digital Archives services, and a chance to ask your burning questions
and have discussion about how to manage and maintain public records in
their electronic form in accordance with local records retention
schedules.  The discussion panel will include Jerry Handfield, WA State
Archivist; Pat Mason, Municipal Research and Services Center; and Ramsey Ramerman of Foster Pepper PLLC.

 

WHO:  Local government records management, clerks, information services, and any other local government employee interested in attending a forum about electronic records management.

 

WHEN:  Wednesday, June 25th at Clover Park Technical College in the
Sharon McGavick Student Services Center, 4500 Steilacoom Boulevard SW, Lakewood, WA.

 

TIME:  9:00 am to Noon

 

COST:  Free.  Coffee will be provided.
