2007 Fall Advanced Academy Session

The WMCA Fall Academy session will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007, at the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel.

Our session, approved by IIMC for three points toward MMC or CMC certification, features speaker Richard Baron of Responsive Management Systems. The presentation, “Responsive Management: Core Competencies” will emphasize elements of supervisory communication and managing performance.  You will learn and apply interaction/communication skills important to effective direction, collaboration, cooperation, communication and conflict prevention with employees.  Workbook and materials are included in the registration fee.         

A block of 80 rooms will be held at the Coast Wenatchee (1-800-716-6199) until September 25 at per diem rates of $60 single and $80 double.  Register early and mention WMCA for the special rate.  If the rooms sell out, there are other hotels nearby (lodging listings are at www.wenatchee.org).  You must cancel 48 hours in advance for a refund. The Coast Wenatchee provides free shuttle service to and from the airport.

The session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. with two 15 minute beverage breaks and an hour lunch.  Registration is $125 for WMCA/ Region IX or $150 for non-members if received on or before October 5, 2007.  Registrations received after October 5 will be charged an extra $25.00 late fee ($150 for members and $175 for non-members). Lunch and breaks are included in the registration fee.  Please note on your registration form if you have special dietary needs.
